ENGLISH BREAKFAST BLACK TEAWe Are Tea
A TRUE CLASSIC
The nations favourite for a reason! Our full bodied breakfast blend of the finest Assam is perfect for those who love a malty and smooth cuppa. Our blend is packed each June in India’s lush Assam region. A cup of this whole-leaf tea is great for any mood at any time of day, promise. Our English Breakfast provides a smoother brew with no bitter aftertaste.
Black tea can help to lower stress levels, a study by UCL showed that tea lovers are able to de-stress and lower their cortisone levels quicker than those who don’t drink tea. Win win!
We love our English Breakfast tea but don't just take our word for it, this one is the winner of 6 Great Taste Awards.
Fun fact: University of Nottingham found that dunking a biscuit improves the flavour. Our favourite biscuit to dunk is a chocolate chip shortbread.
Each box contains 15 whole leaf biodegradable black tea bags. These are pyramidal allowing the tea leaves to properly infuse for a perfect brew.
THE PERFECT CUP OF ENGLISH BREAKFAST
Step 1: Use one tea bag per cup
Step 2: Use freshly drawn boiled water, all black teas can take the heat!
Step 3: Brew for 90 seconds, or leave for longer according to personal taste
Step 4: Milk is optional and you don't need sugar, you're sweet enough!
Keep away from moisture (until it lands in your cup!) We recommend you store your chamomile tea in an opaque, airtight container. It might look pretty in glass, but the light damages the tea leaves and subsequent taste. Nooo!
GUILT FREE SIPPING - THE ETHICAL TEA PARTNERSHIP
We’re a nation of tea monsters consuming over 165 million cuppas every year and growing. To keep up with the worlds growing love affair with tea in a socially just and environmentally sustainably way, the Ethical Tea Partnership was formed. Working with individual tea estates, we help producers & smallholder farmers raise their performance against international social & environmental standards to produce ethical tea, as well as address key issues holding back tea sustainability in the global tea producing regions. Funded by us and the other members, this training and support is free for the tea producers (yay).
Last year we were in the office discussing single use plastics and knew that we had to address this in any way we could. We coined the umbrella term guilt-free sipping to cover all our commitments to the environment going forwards. One of the biggies is removing pesky plastic from our packaging completely this year, we already have 100% biodegradable and compostable teabags and takeaway cups.
